The second stage of the "Battle of Cities"—an international project organized by the Russian Judo Federation and the "Cradle of the Fatherland" charity program, with the support of title sponsor Fonbet—has kicked off in Krasnoyarsk. From September 4 to 6, the "Pyotr Bagration" Legion hosted competitions that determined the first participants for the All-Russian Grand Final and the International Super Final, as well as the teams that will travel abroad to compete in playoff matches.

"Battle of Cities" 2026: teammates became rivals in the second stage

The draw for the second stage of the "Battle of Cities"—an international project organized by the Russian Judo Federation (RJF) and the "Cradle of the Fatherland" charity program, with the support of general sponsor Fonbet—took place in Moscow on June 23. The draw determined the lineups for eight tournaments in which 64 teams of judokas under the age of 18 from all of Russia's federal districts will compete for a spot in the final stage of the competition.

Competing as the hosts of the Donskoy Legion in Armavir were four teams from the Southern Federal District representing Krasnodar, Rostov-on-Don, Ust-Labinsk, and Maykop. Visiting teams drawn by lot included squads from Orsk, Kovrov, Magnitogorsk, and Achinsk.
